Leo Bartnik - UTK Student with a Focus on Sports
While a student at Chantilly High School, Leo Bartnik worked as a camp counselor at Lesson Learned Hoops, helping elementary and middle school students improve their basketball skills. Leo Bartnik then worked delivering food orders to customers for DoorDash. Partnering with his sister, they established Bartnik Lawn Services, providing lawn care services to 10 to 15 neighbors weekly.
Mr. Bartnik also served as a volunteer basketball coach at Chantilly Youth Association, coaching first-grade and later eighth-grade boys’ basketball teams. He played varsity football, received a Scholar Athlete Award, and was a member of the National Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars. After graduating in 2021, Mr. Bartnik began pursuing a BS in recreation and sports management at the University of Tennessee.
While pursuing his degree he also works at State College Spikes, where he participates in promotions and game activities management. Mr. Bartnik was previously a staff member of the George Mason Athletic Facilities. He was a volunteer worker at the food bank Second Harvest East Tennessee, and currently volunteers with the United Services Organization. A Theta Chi Kappa, Omicron Chapter member, Mr. Bartnik is a Volunteer Scholarship recipient, a four-year scholarship grant, and maintains a 3.45 GPA.
